Entstehung

DuckType entstand aus einem persönlichen Bedürfnis.

Ich litt an RSI und bereitete mich auf eine Nervenoperation im April 2026 vor – ich wollte eine Möglichkeit haben, weiterarbeiten zu können, falls ich nicht mehr tippen könnte.

Ich habe DuckType erschwinglich gemacht, weil es Menschen wie mir helfen soll – und allen, die Mühe haben, ihre Gedanken in Worte zu fassen. Kostenlose lokale Modelle, Unterstützung für eigene API-Keys und günstige gehostete Pläne sind dafür da, damit DuckType den Menschen helfen kann, mehr von dem zu erreichen, was sie sich vornehmen – und nicht bloss die Produktivität zu steigern.
