Ursprung

DuckType entstand aus einem persönlichen Bedürfnis.

Ich litt an RSI und bereitete mich auf eine Nervenoperation im April 2026 vor – ich wollte eine Möglichkeit haben, weiterarbeiten zu können, falls ich nicht mehr tippen könnte.

Ich habe DuckType erschwinglich gemacht, weil es Menschen wie mir helfen soll – und jedem, der Schwierigkeiten hat, Gedanken in Worte zu fassen. Kostenlose lokale Modelle, Unterstützung für eigene API-Keys und günstigere gehostete Tarife ermöglichen es, dass DuckType Menschen hilft, mehr von dem zu erreichen, was sie anstreben – nicht nur um der Produktivität willen.
